Neighbourly
Neighbourly allows New Zealanders to stay connected with their neighbours and community using a private neighbourhood website and mobile app. It’s a free service that is designed to make the neighbourhood a safer and better place to live.
The Brief
Neighbourly called on Moa Creative to pack the features of the Neighbourly desktop application into a mobile app. The app had to be easy to navigate and intuitive while not compromising on security and privacy features.
The Solution
Moa Creative developed a slick app for both the iOS and android platforms. It integrated with the content on the Neighbourly website while providing a user-friendly interface to allow people to interact on the go. The app was created with privacy and safety front of mind. All users’ personal information is kept secure and a login process that includes address verification is used to ensure all users are legitimate. The Neighbourly app allows users to interact with their neighbours, post messages, view the profiles of people who live nearby and get to know their neighbourhood better. Members of Neighbourly use the app to interact on topics such as local events, after school activities, crime and safety, council issues, local services and even lost pets.
I’ve used Moa on numerous times for projects I have worked on, and have been happy with their commitment to the project to see it through to the end. As I write this I have given them the go ahead for another project which is an endorsement of how I like working with them.
